Normally, this would be the fourth Tuesday when I take a week off from the newsletter, but I came across a couple of things related to the last two issues that I wanted to share quickly with you.
In the March M365 News Roundup, I mentioned that M365 Business Premium accounts could purchase the e5 Security add-on without needing to upgrade to an Enterprise license.
I then came across this video detailing the benefits of the security suite:
Secondly, last week, we talked about the switch away from the Data Sources tab in the new eDiscovery UI compared to the Classic Premium eDiscovery UI. Ryan and Heather did a video deep dive into it on their podcast a few days later:
In addition, I also want to remind you that everything you’re seeing with Data Sources is subject to change (From the Roadmap item)
We are introducing several enhancements to the eDiscovery modernized user interface. These updates include a comprehensive case-level data source view, the ability to retry failed locations for a more complete search statistics estimate, and the capability to view process reports across all cases. Users will also be able to duplicate search and copy search from hold or hold from search within the same case, reusing the data sources and queries. Additionally, customers will be able to access a more comprehensive reporting in all process reports including information like compliance boundary, encryption settings and more.
Watching both of these videos made me wonder if I should start doing some short screen recordings instead of screen captures in the newsletter from time to time. Maybe. I need to learn more about the tools available in Substack compared to what I could do with Teams and YouTube, but it’s on the radar for later this year.
What do you think?
I’ll be back next week with a longer issue. There’s been a lot of news recently, so there’s much to digest and understand. Of course, as I know more, I will share it with my subscribers!
