Copilot Super-app?
There was a lot of noise about the announcement of a planned Copilot super-app.
There weren't many details about how it would work, how it would be licensed, or anything else.
During an earnings call, Nadella confirmed that the app, first tipped by Fortune in May, would include access to Copilot tools like Autopilots, Cowork, and Code, alongside its chatbot functionality, all in software designed to span "both consumer and commercial experiences."
What does that mean for businesses with Copilot for M365 seats? I have no idea, and neither do most of the people writing about it.
Like most things Microsoft, we’ll just have to see what it looks like when it rolls out. I’m not holding my breath that it’s going to be anywhere near as glamorous as Satya says it will be. Then again, we all know I’m a skeptic by now, right?

There are some changes coming for Facilitator - Updates to Facilitator in Microsoft Teams meetings.
How much do your agents cost? Users can’t tell.
We can publicly measure the cost of someone using AI against the output of their work. If the user can’t tell the total cost of their AI work, we can create a dashboard of costs and let the workforce judge themselves openly. Since users can’t tell themselves how much compute they’re using, we make it public and make them prove the value.
OpenAI as Copilot Subprocessor
That seems significant. As someone who works in the legal industry, this is concerning. Some of our clients will not look kindly on us using any third-party tool that can’t provide SOC reports, and I know anyone working with the federal government is looking at that first bullet point about FedRAMP and wondering if they should make sure this isn’t enabled in their environment.
