Special Announcement - Microsoft Announces Elimination of 300 seat minimum for Copilot
Late-breaking announcement from Microsoft while many of us were out for MLK Day
If you were out marking the occasion for Martin Luther King Day or hunkering down from the cold in the US today, you may not have noticed this announcement from Microsoft.
Today we are excited to announce that Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available for organizations of all sizes — with no seat minimum. We are also enabling our partners to help every business become AI-powered.
That means many of us working in smaller organizations now have to consider Copilot. On the plus side, though, this should help eliminate the number of consultants and experts advising their clients without having access to test and use Copilot independently.
That's pretty exciting. I wonder if they'll let me purchase it for my Dev environment. I'm not holding my breath. I'll possibly have to find another way to access it using a business account or something. Do any MS licensing experts want to offer some advice?
There is also an announcement about Copilot Pro for consumers at that link. At $20 per month, you get even more features than the free version of Copilot, the latest models, and the ability to build your own. I knew I should have waited a day to send the news roundup. ;-)
What do you think? Does this open up the possibility of testing out Copilot for you?
